...when doing a liver biopsy, ultrasonography not only locates the liver, gallbladder, lungs and kidneys, it also helps to locate areas of suspicious or diseased tissue. A lower rate of complications is reported among physicians who perform 50 or more liver biopsies annually. Transient pain in the upper right shoulder is the most typical complaint of liver biopsy patients.
...The 3g genotype of HCV infects 35% of the population in India and is not detected using typical test kits available in the U.S..
...Veterans with chronic HCV and psychiatric diagnoses experienced a significantly greater proportion of side affects during interfeon treatment.

The Mar/Apr 01 issue of Hep C Connections reported that:
...Phase 3 trials are under way using Zadaxin with Roche's pegylated intereferon. The study is targeting only non-responders to alpha-interferon or alpha-interferon + ribavirin.
...Supplements known to support liver detoxification are:
