...In an article headlined The 1st Candian Conference on Hep C, J.King, editor of hepc.bull provided a brief review of 8 presentations made May 1 - 4 in Montreal. The topic that most interested me was a discussion of "Future Therapies and Vaccine Development" which speculated upon protein-based inhibitors, ribozyme and anti-sense-based therapies and inhibitory cytokine therapies. Other topics mentiuoned were: Natural History of HCV infection, Manage the Disease or It Going to Manage You, (HCV) Legal and Ethical Issues Affecting Human Rights, Co-infections: Which to Treat First, Prevention, Liver Transplant, Canadian Viral Hep Network, Extra-Hepatic Manifestations. www.hepcbc.org
